Should I go to this Owl City concert?

It’s in a city about 3 hours from where I live, the closest they come. I’ve liked and listened to his music before ‘Fireflies’ hit any charts. I want to go, but I don’t know anyone that is into that genre of music. Should I go by myself and feel awkward that I’m alone, or should I try to find someone who wants to go?

Sure Ive gone to concerts by myself. The worst part is walking in alone. But then you are there for the same reason everyone else is. So go, enjoy and rock out!!

Thing is, this venue only holds around 300-500 people, standing room only. It’s such a small Soundstage that it’d be pretty hard not to notice someone alone. At least that’s what I think.

I went to shows with less then 200 people, all by my lonesome. I even met some people I went out for drinks with after. You are going for the music right? I get the fact that its scary, I really do. But you only live once. And if you love concerts as much as I do then you dont want to miss it. Just be safe and aware of the people around you. Are you a dude or a chick? not that it matters, but if you are a chick(like I am) dont take drinks from people, if you feel unsafe go stand next to a group of guys and just ask if you can stand by them b/c someone is creeping you out. Most guys wont have an issue with that.

But go have fun!!!! You’ll regret it if you dont

You could always ask if someone wants to go. They don’t have to like that kinda music to go and have a good time. PLUS owl city is amazing I wanna go see them but like u they are coming 3 hours away from me as well LOL I think u should go

If you really want to go, just do it. I’m sure there will be there who are into the same band and you can talk with them. If your shy about talking to new people, use this as an opportunity to build up confidence and just talk to people.

And a 3 hour drive isn’t too bad if you really want to go there. I’ve traveled over 14 hours to go to a huge concert, though I did have some friends come along.

No, the drive isn’t an issue at all. I actually love driving long distances…

And asking someone to do something with me has never ever been my forte’. I just don’t like burdening people. Call it shy if you want.

Find someone who wants to go. Never go to concerts alone, especially if they are far away! I LOVE OWL CITY! Definitely go , and definitely take a friend! If they dont like it, then whatever! Atleast you got to hang out. :]

Well, I’ve got a ticket, but still don’t know anyone who would want to go. I really want to see Owl City in concert before he gets too big…. maybe.

dude you have the ticket!!! GO come on its an experience…. and then if you hate concerts by yourself you dont have to go to a concert alone again. So you’ll learn a lesson eaither way and see a show you want.
