Death seems like a pleasant prospect at times. - Help.com

Death seems like a pleasant prospect at times.

There are days when I’d rather be dead. If that makes me depressed then so be it. People often say: you haven’t lived until you’ve done this or experienced that. I say to hell with that assertive ********. Once you live to be too old and feeble for the enjoyments of life, you learn that your time is very soon coming to a bitter end. Regret begins to seep in, and all that is left to endure is day and night and pain.

I’ve thought about it too, you’ve just got to wait until something good happens, and then you’ll feel unbelievably good, much better than any person who was in better conditions would feel. If it’s an emotional thing, don’t stress over it. It can only get worse if you kill yourself.

To end the troubles in ones life is what we all want.
When things arent easy, and this is very often for alot of us the only possible way to achieve peace seems like death!
Atlest then we can have our rest right?
That brings me to the question of what that means… how can one rest when one has not suceeded in completing ones goals in life, dead or alive.
So get to doing what you set out to do!
LOL!
I should take my own advice…

iv never had something good happen to me
iv never had someone to care for or someone who cares if im here
and so im just living
and living
and trying to help others who are in circumstances i’ll never be in, makes me feel that it might happen to me (delusions)

why haven’t i cut the cord?
cos i find happiness when i look at a bird trying to build a nest, when a bee just buzzes by me, it looks so vibrant and full of hope..
and i like that..
so i try and prolong this living.. just because i would miss the next beautiful sunrise and sunset.

I always say I want to say on my death bed (when ever that may be) not I wish I did or I wish I didn’t but I’m glad I did. Even though you feel as though you haven’t done anything people truely do care for you and you’ve probably encouraged them to do what they need to do. You could talk to your doctor about depression? Some other things you can do is start excerising, making new friends (most friends have a huge impact on how we feel about ourselves), and start making you feel good about yourself.

Good Luck but don’t give up there is always a place in life for every person

That was such a beautiful post.

And so true, so very true. Humble and observational, from experience, yet i think speaks to us all in a way.

It reminded me of this Douglas Adams quote…..

‘The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it’s just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.’

death is acheivable reversal is impossible, enjoy the here and now, much better here, where even death is an option, there will come a time when it is not an option, why opt for the unavoidable, it will get to you in time, concentrate what time you have left enjoying life before death no longer becomes an option

You’ll have one moment, sometime sooner or later, be it sudden or it come to you gradually, that you wishing death will seem to your own self a stupid thing to have even thought.
