I cannot solve this riddle - I have spent all day posting on every ask a question website I can find in hopes that someone will be able to solve it.

HELP!

It goes like this:

What ends begin,
surrounding surround,
a memory’s on
when soon to be found.

(And before anyone even says it, no the answer is not the letter N - that is a popular guess but it’s not the answer according to the person who gave me the riddle.)

Say the riddle out loud, it makes more sense then. To say the end of the word begin you use the tip of your tongue. To say the word surround, again, you use the tip of your tongue to say s and d. Finally, when trying to remember something, people will often say ‘it’s on the tip of my tongue’ before they recall it. Does that make sense now?
