Piano, or Guitar?
I wanna learn how to play. Is it hard? Where would i start from, which one is better? I have a guitar but im more of a piano type person i think. I want to teach my children something when i have some, but i think i should learn first. Guitar seems more of a singing /playing thing. When piano is more of a personal just music thing. I don’t know . But i would really like to have something to express myself in. I feel like im a hella good song writer but don’t we all. lol. I suppose im leaving it up to the public to tell me what to do,
So piano or guitar?

Guitar, you can travel with it, and it is much more social, you can play it while kicking around with friends. Your children will likely be more interested in learning the guitar too. It is easier to learn the piano to start off, but harder once you get past the basics.
So easier to play piano as a beginner
Easier to play guitar as a fair to good player
Very good points Coalesce.
Both ,you can play more then one Instrument .But somehow you will like one more than the other.barbyman.com
Piano is so romantic, and guitar is so. Well **** everyone plays guitar… i’m thinking piano too blacksky. but then i hear my husband saying oh no im not listening to that all day :| lol. So guitar has a chance
neither one is real easy to learn if you know nothing of music, but yes start with piano and work your way up. once you learn the basics of music, reading tabs, keeping time ect, then move to the guitar. but i tell you, the world needs more keyboard players, don’t you love to make crazy sound effects? lol
LoL, thanks Blacksky! :D
I suppose i can start out with a piano/keyboard.
you know you don’t have to lugging a 3 ton Baldwin around, lol
you can buy a set of keyboards at best buy or radio shack for like $200 and they have headphone jacks! and batteries!
Ohhh, i like batteries! Wireless! Wawhoo..

panio may be badass…. but its difficult
Well yeah..but everything gets easier with constant practice.
Guitar’s just as difficult.
I have to shove my face into both instruments to hit the right note.

Have no idea what your talking about dude
I myself like the feeling of touching the strings of guitar ( if u play it without picks ) and I don’t know why I think guitar’s sound is more natural (!!!!)
learn both so you can jam with your kid, you on piano the kid on guitar or vice versa. but if you have to choose.. ****. i mean guitar is more economical and practical, cause you can get a descent starter guitar for 150 and you can carry it in your car. but piano is flat out beautiful. i envy anyone who can shred the keys. plus it’s easier to start a young kid out on piano because their little fingers cant press guitar strings hard enough. i think when it comes down to it, piano is the best choice. and once you get the hang of it, guitar is a really smooth transition for a seasoned pianist. good luck
