ugh is this normal?

so occasionally, i get these massive head pains. I can tell that it has something to do with my heart pumping because I can LITERALLY feel the blood pumping into my head. Whenever this happens, i get these massive headaches that causes me so much pain whenever i even twitch my head. i can’t even move my head, let alone shake it, without the inside of my head feeling like its been slammed by a hammer.

i think this might be high/low blood pressure but i’m not exactly sure what that is so can’t really say for sure.

Classic symptoms of low blood pressure include:

* Dizziness, or feeling like you’re standing on a rocking boat
* Fainting
* Changes in mental status (difficulty concentrating, confusion) or a sense of “impending doom” or anxiety
* Changes in breathing patterns (fast, shallow breathing is common during an episode of low blood pressure)
* Nausea
* Suddenly feeling cold or clammy, or a rapid onset of pale skin

While all of these symptoms indicate that a visit to the doctor is needed, fainting or ongoing dizziness are especially alarming and warrant an immediate visit to either your own doctor or to the emergency room. If you experience fainting along with nausea, chest pain, or any type of weakness/numbness in your body, you should call 911 immediately. These symptoms may be indicators of stroke, heart attack, or dangerous problems with the nervous system.

High Blood Pressure Symptoms

High blood pressure usually causes no symptoms.

* Even if high blood pressure does cause symptoms, the symptoms are usually mild and nonspecific (vague, or suggesting many different disorders).

* Thus, high blood pressure often is labeled “the silent killer.”

* People who have high blood pressure typically don’t know it until their blood pressure is measured.

Sometimes people with high blood pressure have the following symptoms:

* Headache

* Dizziness

* Blurred vision

* Nausea

People often do not seek medical care until they have symptoms arising from the organ damage caused by chronic (ongoing, long-term) high blood pressure. The following types of organ damage are commonly seen in chronic high blood pressure:

* Heart attack

* Heart failure

* Stroke or “mini stroke” (transient ischemic attack, TIA)

* Kidney failure

* Eye damage with loss of vision

* Peripheral arterial disease

* Outpouchings of the aorta, called aneurysms

About 1% of people with high blood pressure do not seek medical care until the high blood pressure is very severe, a condition known as malignant hypertension.

* In malignant hypertension, the diastolic blood pressure (the lower number) often exceeds 140 mm Hg.

* Malignant hypertension may be associated with headache, light-headedness, or nausea.

* This degree of high blood pressure requires emergency hospitalization and lowering of blood pressure to prevent brain hemorrhage or stroke.

It is of utmost importance to realize that high blood pressure can be unrecognized for years, causing no symptoms but causing progressive damage to the heart, other organs, and blood vessels.

Can you check this out with your doctor? Blood could not coagulate in the brain unless it’s a stroke. There would be a lot of numbness in one side of your body.

You have to rule out anything that causes immense discomfort and that can only be done by a complete examination. So please check it out.

I don’t think it has anything to do with your heart. Sometimes when we have pains, they throb. That’s normal.

But you should still see your doctor about the headaches.
