Your not doomed. I know this is an odd approach, but if you know someone who is talking to him, go and stand around them, and try to engage in the conversation, that way it isn’t just you and him. Or, try to put yourself in group settings with him.

Trust me, it’s definitely worth it. It’s nerve racking, but you won’t regret it. at east you will be able to say you tried! :)

i usually look at a girl frequently if she’s really cute or just something that makes me attracted to her..
get in an eye contact and see how he reacts maybe?

if i get caught looking at a girl .. and she suddenly looks at me back.. i turn my head somewhere else cos she would feel creeped out if i was staring at her..
okay if you want him to approach you then try this way..
walk by him and try to make eye contact and then give him a small smile… not too long though..
and whenever you make eye contact … just give him a smile and look away..
that gives him the confidence and indication that your open to talk too.
