Love help: Here’s a question for the couples. - Help.com

Here’s a question for the couples.

I’m going to be sleeping with my bf for the first time in a few months. Ever since I was little, whenever somebody slept with me (like my mom during a bad storm), I’d get a bit violent, all over the bed, sometimes elbowing her, etc. I’ve noticed I still do that although mainly when I’m very tired. I would be mortified if I ever did that with him, so is there any way I can stop this and not be all over the place and hurting him when we’re sleeping. We’re going to be holding one another while sleeping, so would that help?

As another nighttime thrasher, I’d suggest letting them know about it beforehand and cut the spooning off before you actually crash out. Last thing you want is to catch him in the junk or the eye and ruin the experience completely. Could also help to take OTC sedatives like Benadryl, keeps me from tearing off the linens.

if you say that its mainly when youre super tired, sleep alot the night before, that should help. dont drink caffine or anything. and maybee look into if theres anything you can take for like night violence.

Wrap yourself up very securely with the blanket’s so when you fall asleep, your arms are stuck so you can’t swing them around.
