Do you think World War III will be a religion-based conflict?

probably, since one religion cannot tolerate another one, and for some reason, we all have to believe in something…but, who cares?
i believe what einstein said…we’ll be fighting with sticks after that…
There won’t be one.
Why?
Because of globalization of trade. As long as we’re all selling crap to each other and other standard of living is going up, we won’t have a global war.
The people who are causing all the religious problems are fringe groups. History shows that people are naturally greedy, hypocritical, self-serving animals. So there’s no way for religion to win except through totalitarianism… and we’ve knocked down fascism, communism, and theocracies in the past.
No worries.
The greatest protectors of liberties are not soldiers… they are the people who struggle every day to protect free speech and human rights. There are more of them than ever. Be one.
yep
study up on history
find out in the dark ages how many people the catholic church killed
catholicism is not Christianity
history repeats itself

World War III over religion? Well I think it could be possible, yes.
Religion is as likely to be the cause of WWIII as any other volatile, polarizing element of culture. It is also likely that WWIII could be caused as a result of outside forces intervening in the name of social justice, an escalation of a conflict as a result of poorly considered mutual defense pacts or other alliances, rogue nuclear action, or one of many other potential global events. Speculation doesn’t really do anyone any good.
Calemus, Catholicism is a proper noun and should be capitalized, the same as Christianity. The rest of your post is exactly the sort of goading statement which causes conflicts between fundamentally similar beliefs.

I’m pretty sure he just doesn’t capitalize. The rest of his reply has no caps as well.

With the exception of Christianity. That’s exactly the sort of information behavior (mis-capitalization, mis-quotation, attributive association, etc.) which allows hate groups like Stormfront to operate in America.
funny
one of the rooms in my house is a library
i do lots of looking into religions and historical fact
care to chime in more assuming of over confadent ignorance?
World War III will be an ignorance based conflict….
This is how wars get started. People arguing over stuff that doesn’t matter. We all eat, drink, ****, sleep, reproduce, love, and have friendships. There’s no need to shed blood (or harsh words) over these silly things.
Jonathan Swift was hilarious with his warring groups, one that wore boots with heels a tiny bit higher than the other.
Well with someone like calemus you just don’t get offended because he doesn’t capitalize, so it’s not like he’s doing it to deliberately p*ss people off, but I get your point. But let us just chillax because we’re deviating from the point :)
Agreed. Besides, most of the current religious conflicts either do not include any of the Christian religions, or they are religions in conflict with governments.

I think religion is apt to play a role in the Third World War. Will it be entirely based on religion? Surely not. That would be a war with weak purpose.
I suggest reviewing World War I and World War II and learn the underlying factors that started the attacks. You had cunning leaders that built massive armies and formed a regime that instilled nationalism into all of the citizens to strongly unify the country. Once power and control reached a pinnacle within the borders of that country, more territory and resources became desired. A military strategy was realized, and then put into action.
