To aviod being like the people who beg help.com for money, I bust my bum at work!
I absolutely loathe my job. I am morally opposed to the things I have to do for a meager $7.25 an hour. Unfortunately, I have a boyfriend and a little sister to support, so like I said, I work very hard for the tiny, borderline slap in the face paychecks I get. The point in all of this is that my boss HATES me! I can’t quite figure out why being that I’m the only one that works there that actually does what I’m supposed to do. I’m nice to everyone, I never call out, and I’m never late. The ogre can’t fire me because she doesn’t have any reason to, so she just makes me absolutely miserable in hopes that I’ll flip out one day and quit. (She even went so far as to blame me for a robbery that happened 10 minutes after I left one night instead of being concerned that the guy who did it could very well have bashed my head in with the same hammer he used to pry open not one, but two doors in the shop…) I’m in the process of trying to find another job, but being that I live in a small town where jobs are hard to come by, it’s no easy thing. So what I’m wondering is does anyone have any advice as to how I can tame the beast and stop getting tortured at work???
