Need help with using AIM through texting
Well, I was going home one day after going somewhere, when suddenly a text came in. I saw it, and it said that my friend from AIM had sent me a message. I texted “a” for “accept” back to the sender (which wasn’t my friend’s phone number, but I guess the AIM text number or something like that :P) and the message was texted back to me. I sent a message back, and surprisingly my friend texted back. I never knew that was possible. How does this exactly work? I don’t have internet on my phone, and I don’t use the “IM Chat” section in my phone.. just texting. How can I talk to other people from my AIM list through texting? Or do THEY have to text me for me to text them?
Plus, I have unlimited texting with Verizon. Does this apply to the AIM texting or do I have to pay for each text?
