For a paper, I use the hot and cold technique. Write your paper hot– just write and don’t stop writing, keep your thoughts flowing and make it work.
When it’s over, take an hour or so to relax and then revise– it will let you catch all of your errors easily.

Take away your distractions– turn off the TV, keep off of facebook or myspace or e-mail, turn off your cellphone.

i used to listen to my ipod to stop the world distracting me but i guess that’s distracting in itself. i only got distracted if i’d been doing it too long. you can only take in information for a max of 40 minutes before you can’t cram anymore in apparently

i have the same problem. im studying for gcse’s atm so i have to do alot of revison. some of the things i do is:
down load gcse podcasts of the bitesize website so you can listn on ipod,
read the revision before bed with some warm milk.
try making mind maps
or just read an hour on one topic and then leter on or the nest day read it over and it might sink in better.
another things is ust make questions on postit noted and stick them round your house.

finall thing will help is if your studying for an exam, find out when it is etc and what you need to know for it
