Nothing will happen to your stuff. It will NOT be deleted. What will happen is that the stuff you bought from the iTunes store that has DRM protection, a.k.a movies, music videos, games, ect. excluding music, iTunes will NOT play or sync them to any iPod.

This is true. But if you want to be able to keep your music, you will need to create an MP3 version of every song you bought from I-tunes.

Go to the top of the colum onto the name/ RIGHT CLICK and select KIND. This will show you the type of format your music is in. Click on KIND at the top of the colum to gather equal file formats together. Then single click one song to highlight it blue. Then find the last song of an ACC format - press Shift and click onto the last song - this will highlight that group of songs. Then right click over the blure field. An info box will drop down. Among many choices, you will see it ask you Create MP3 version. Click create mp3 version and the music you bought in ACC format will convert into MP3 files.

Then, you can deauthorize your account and keep your music to play or on your IPOD.

I also know how to take songs off any Ipod and add them to your computer library.

Good luck!
