Need Help on the Horsez Video Game for PS2.

I just bought this game yesterday and I am at the part where you have to get into the attic room to get Ginger’s birthday present. It says that there is someone in the library who can give you the key to the attic room, but the library is locked. I have to find the key to the library but all it says is that “it must be somewhere.” I’ve looked in Jade’s bedroom, the empty bedroom, the classroom, around the stables, and outside and I can’t find it. Can anyone tell me exactly where it is and how to get there without being caught by the two guys?
