all you can do is try. or put it out there to see what happens. i have a guy friend like this. he told me a few years back his true feelings. i was in a very serious relationship with someone… but there are times i wonder what would happen if we were to try to make it more than friendship… but then again, when i read your post, i automatically thought of my feelings towards the guy i was dating seriously… my ex… but we haven’t spoken since march. if i knew i had very little time, i would go see him. but since you can only live each day as if it’s the last you’ll ever get to experience… i guess i’m a hypocrit.

Thats a tough one honestly. You risk alienating yourself from him if you tell him.

How old are you both?

If he’s a really good friend, you won’t be risking alienating yourself from him, well, I suppose it depends on his character really.
That aside, go for it, tell him, ask him out. You’ll probably regret it if you don’t, and he’ll probably say yes.
