music help: how to download music to a mp3 player - Help.com

I am totally MP3 and 4 illerate but purchased an MP4 player. I have i tunes but can someone tell me step by step how to download music. I don’t know what ripping is or anything else but type really well (ha, ha). So just give me the basics step by step. Thanks.
