I just can’t get myself to do my schoolwork.

I tell myself to do it, I tell my teachers I will, I’ll tell my mothers I’ve done it but, I just won’t do it. I just stare at my work for a long perid of time then leave. It’s like I can’t control myself. How do I buckle down an do what I need to get done.

I’m just so disappointed in myself.
I’m also tired of disappointing those who teach me.

You turn off your computer and go through your papers, lay out which need to be done, and start on the least boring ones.

Organize your work environment so that nothing could distract you.
Motivate yourself, be curious of what you are studying. Let the information amuse you. Prioritize your work from most important and ones nearing due dates. Organize you’re studies in specific times along the week. Minimize Break times.

What I do is I actually force my self to answer questions.
eg. I tell myself:
1. Read question 1!
2. Okay now FIND THAT INFORMATION!
3. Now lift your damned fingers over the frikin paper
4. and START WRITING!!#!@
(5.WhERE IS MY PEN!?!!)

That’s anothr problem of mine. In English, even while on task writing an okay paper takes me three times as long as the other students to write a great paper.

Yeah… I have the same problem. I don’t know how to solve that.

I think it is because we come up with idea’s and would like to set the changes that fits in for the whole essay as we go along. So, I almost always have a rough draft.

At least that’s how it is for me.

Also, I’m a slow thinker. Maybe.

Writing rough drafts is the best solution. Get your self in the habit of writing with out stoping to correct your self(spelling, grammar even what your letters look like), once you get used to this the ideas will flow more easily.

Another thing you can do is take your self out of the same processes or settings you are used to have when you do your homework(change rooms, play or dont play music, go to the library instead your house, etc.)

I have the same problems, just writting this took me about 15mins.
