wat do you do to celebrate new years as your culture?

me? well i have all kinds of blood in me i’m mexican(spanih) so when it is 2007 we eat 12 grapes on the last minute of 2006 before 2007 making a wish on everyone XD funny..my mom and i didn’t have grapes so we used grapes XD and as for asian side in china chinese new year is in…i believe sometime in febuary so when it is new years then i get lucky money!!! it’s in a small red envelope with golden chinese writing on it and inside…is da cash baby w0ot w0ot!! can’t wait till then lol

In here we usually sit eachother with family and stuff and everyone makes a “goede voornemen” like what good are we going to do next year.. Then we shoot loads of fireworks in the sky at 00:00 and wish everyone a happy new year. after that most of the youth goes out and gets drunk and stuff :-/

I”m in Australia and we usually have a BBQ and those that are old enough drink, usually excessively and find a stranger or partner to kiss at 12, or maybe go to a dance party and do the same.

Alcohol is a major part in Australian social life and celebrations and although binge drinking is pretty bad for you its just a part of our (or my) culutre :)
