I did not write these, but I think they’re quite beautiful.
Things to be thankful for:
My family and friends and all the laughs we share.
The sunshine, flowers and air that I breathe.
The gifts of mind, feeling and sight.
My body, mind and life on this earth.
The life that I live.
The times when you just want to cry and someone is there to comfort you.
Individual ideas and free speech.
Animals and creatures that roam the earth.
The living things around me.
Foolishness, courage, laughter and hope.
The gift of friendship and the ones you can always depend on and trust.
The ability to love.
The love of friends and the happiness they bring.
The brightness of the future still to come.
The beauty of all that exists on earth.
My five senses which help me to love and understand my family and friends.
My friends, loyal, kind and true.
All the colours in the rainbow.
The birds in their nests and the fish in the sea.
The unique talents of everyone in the world.
The happiness in my life.
The individuality in every person I meet.
The ability to sing and express feelings through song.
The ability to love one another and the gift of music.
The colour-stained sunset of every evening, and the gift of each new day.
Times of laughter, prayer and love.
The exciting adventures we face every day.
Families to love and friends to care for.
The day and the night.
The warm smiles that I see every day.
My parents who support and guide me.
The sun, moon and stars that shine upon us.
The small differences in personalities and talents that make us all unique.
The ones I love.
The laughter and enjoyment in my life.
Our environment which nurtures us and amazes us with its beauty.
The unique sound of laughter.
The natural wonders of life.
The ability to run, swim and surf.
Letting me live life to the full, even in its ups and downs.
The heavens above.
The simple and beautiful world that we live in.
The ones that I can rely on.
The gifts of happiness and courage.
The people in my life who help me overcome obstacles and who have made me who I am today.
The road that I have followed.
Hopefully this helps you to acknowledge the little things in life that we should be thankful for, the things that truly make life worth living.

well written
i like the positive vibe you are trying to portray.
But im too realistic for my own good..
somethings matter more than others.. and if they are lacking, then i feel separated and inclined to depart from this world..
that was a really good post :) thank you for posting it. at first I thought it was really long, but I actually enjoyed reading it.
I really like the acorns that were at the bottom of the path from my college. I’d never seen a real acron before and there were loads and I just thought they were quite cool. they’re not there anymore though, my suspiscion is that the squirrils got them. ;)
A lot of people are really unsatisfied with their lives. They think that life is not worth living, that they have nothing to look forward to or no good experiences to live through.
But really, there is so much to be thankful for. So much we never even notice!
It took a group of 11-12 year old girls to make me realise that I am so very lucky, and that there are so many good things in my life which I hardly even recognise.
Here’s what they came up with:

Wow this is awesome. Thank you for putting it in perspective. I get down on myself too much and reading this makes me realize how selfish one can be sometimes. Really great stuff. i am grateful and humbled.
Aww, no problem! Thank you for your kind reply. I think it’s really important for all people to put things in perspective and to appreciate what they have. Even the little things in life mean so much and work to make us who we are.
And you shouldn’t get so down on yourself - you have so much worth :) Recognise your potential and embrace it.
That was lovely - its so important for us to remember how much we should be grateful for and that we lead such privilaged lives in comparision to billions of others in the world. We are extremely lucky!

Thank you. I completely agree, it’s very important to maintain such a perspective :)
