Just go, it could be mrsa or something that needs immediate attention.

My family is in Pennsylvania somewhere– I started hitchhiking a long time ago and they don’t know where I’m at.

They legally have to help you in the ER- you might be waiting, but eventually they will see you. I’m from california and here they would probably sign you up for medical, then you could also go to a clinic for other stuff in the future. When you get help, make sure to ask them for a social worker consult, they can help set you up with assistance, and maybe find a place for you to stay.

I don’t want to live anywhere though, houses are so dirty. I want sunlight and open air, I’ll be sure to let them know that so they don’t put anything in me when I’m there, I look out for that.

Movius is absolutely right, they have to give you medical attention, I was just in the hospital for a infection, They said had i waited it would of turned into septicemia and i could of died.
Go to the hospital bro.

Are you homeless?
I have an old bank account with about 5,000$ in it– are they going to look me up and try to take my money away? My parents might have taken the money, but it’s about all I have left and I was thinking of trying to get it to buy food, but I want to keep it in the bank because I don’t want to get rolled. Guy too a 20$ bill right out of my sleeping bag the one night and I never caught him. I don’t drink or smoke so I’m not using the money for that, but I want to make sure I have it in case I ever want to get a job and start over. I go on about 5$ a day or less, but I want to keep my money please.

I have been homeless. It’s no fun. I didn’t choose it, either, and I wasn’t on drugs or drinking or smoking, either. I just had very bad luck and got ripped off by someone who took my money for a place to live. Please don’t say you prefer to be homeless. That’s a really horrible thing to want for. There’s nothing glamorous about being homeless, and some people don’t have any other choice. I think you should go to the hospital now, instead of being online. You wanted help, right? Well, people are telling you to go to the ER. I think that you should listen to them.

Nope, I have a decent job but opted out of insurance, I told the hospital i didn’t have insurance and no money and they still treated me awesome, I had to have surgery and all sorts of expensive medications, i was there for 7 days. So trust me they will treat you. The money that you have they would have to take you to court and sue you, Also, their are a lot of programs for people without insurance that might pay for your entire stay. That’s what happened for me. Just go to the hospital.

It’s not glamorous but I’m healthier, I am closer to nature and I’m not getting anything put in me.

Free as a bird you might say but you don’t want to contribute anything to Society..Do You? You want to get treated for infection ,it could be even worse .You might already have Gangrene.That means your Tow must come of at least it could be halve of your Foot what has to come of.Go to Emergency anywhere say a Snake bit you and they will treat you immediately..

If you can access the bank account money then you can get an apartment and seriously take good care of yourself — turn everything for the better.

More immediately, hydrogen peroxide is very cheap treatment for minor skin-surface infections, or rubbing alcohol. Hydrogen peroxide seems less harmful.

Society? I don’t want to contribute anything to it– I did some bad things and hurt quite a few people, I’d like to just be off to myself. I have helped others though– I have talked to many kids and have turned them away from street life and I hope in my heart they’ve gone on to be successful. My favorite book is “The Brothers karamazov” and I’ve tried to always be like Alyosha– I want to care for everyone else, but at the moment I need a little care myself. I don’t ask for anything and I don’t beg, the money I’ve gained has been from working in my life and I never accept charity without giving something back. The money I live on, I work to gain– either unloading trucks or doing odd tasks, I have helped people and have worked my share but I’ve stayed anonymous.
You might say I don’t have a job and I’m not “contributing” but I am not spending money to buy a bunch of **** I don’t need and living an unhealthy life. People watch so much television and get so far away from others– I’ve formed some relationships and have meet some deeply affected people, some a little more or less crazy than me.

I don’t have access to my bank account, that card is long gone.

It isn’t gangrene, I don’t have diabetes and a snake bite wouldn’t cut it, but thank you.

Then what are you complaining about your foot for, if you won’t take everybody’s advice? Seriously.

I’m taking the advice and trying an urgent care clinic that will be open tomorrow– it’s an 8 mile walk so I’m setting out early morning.

You sound like an interesting, principled person. I admire your convictions, but you also worry me slightly.
Remember that we live in an imperfect world, in which having strong principles can of course be a support, but also a fence around us - be careful not to make yourself a martyr to them!

(PS: May I suggest you organise access to your bank account BEFORE you need the money… As a homeless person it might take you a while to arrange things, and it would surely be better not to wait until you urgently need the cash. )

Its dangerous to be homeless. you might want to re consider. plus the way you keep yourself clean, ect…. change your life
