well i’m not a voip user myself but i have read a few articles and watched a few programs and found that if you wish to use thesame phone for voip and landline calls then it is not a matter of your line but your handset . you will need one which has somekind of usb connection and a normal phone connection . I am sure if you look around you will find one (assuming thats what you’re after).

I’m not a VOIP user either (yet) but I do have a customer and friend that uses it. Check out the Q&A and other articles at the website VOIP Service Info

http://www.servicevoip.info/voip_ques…

If I understand what you are asking, you don’t need any “special” line to call ordinary phones (land line, cell, PBX, etc.). Your VOIP phone and VOIP service is all you need. Your VOIP provider completes the call for you at their “switching” office and connects you with them.

Hope this helps.
