oh- and instead of wedding party favors - I was at a wedding where cards were placed that advised guests in lieu of party favors a donation was made to a cancer research fund in memory of one of the bride’s grandparents who had recently died - I thought that was a nice use of money for favors most people don’t really need.

You write well, and I really liked that letter to your nephew.
I also like that you are full of creative ideas.

The latest wedding I visited had wedding favors in the shape of small bags, or more like envelopes, made by very thin gauze (the gauze was a bit stiff, like starched, but transparent) in pale light blue and pink, with some silver hearts inside. They hearts were slightly larger than almonds and really looked like made of silver, with a polished metal surface. But they were actually bonbons! The bride told me that she got the bags from one place and the silver bonbons from a special bonbon store, and they were not at all expensive. But they were beautiful, and it looked expensive!

second hand stores are good. My sister got hers, only worm once, for 40$ lol. It needed to be fixed by a seamstress, but that only cost her 60. Great savings. You getting married, JN?

Yes i am, i’m superstitious though, i wouldn’t have a problem wearing a second hand dress as long as the person that wore it first is still happily married, but i don’t think i would be able to find that out.
Ive looked on lots of sites but i can’t find one anything like how i want it, that goes for the dress & ring.
