I think I scratched my cornea.
Don’t ask HOW I managed to do this, but I managed to scrape the sharp corner of a piece of a stiff cardboard paper bag across my eye. I went to the doctor, and he gave me eye drops and gave me a note saying for an optometrist in my local ‘eye and ear hospital’. My vision was all blurred and my eye was constantly watering. He said if it wasn’t better by now, I should go the hospital and see what they say.
My eye is still in agony and when I blink, it feels like there is something under my eyelid which is being dragged up and down. Or it just feels like the eyelid is rubbing up against the scratch. And my vision is still really blurry. It’s my strong eye and my other is a bit weaker than it, so my vision is horrible. However, my eye looks normal, and my family just think I am exaggerating and are basically ignoring me. Should it heal by itself eventually?
