I am stuck on a paper i am writing.

Nothing helps. It is a stupid subject and an awful paper and i cant even chug out a second paragraph. I dont want to fail! help me! what do i do? it is due tomorrow and i am so stuck. The paper is about how the indian poet mirabai is important in the context of the bhakti movement. I am the only person on the planted writing a paper about this so nobody can help me! I need a miracle, someone who knows this stuff. hinduism. help. my parents are no help and my friends have abandoned me. I take breaks to clear my head, and when i start to write again it just sounds wrong and none of it makes sense! HELP ME PLEASE!

you could try writing down a list of essential questions about the essay topic and then answer them each with a paragraph:

-what makes mirabi’s poetry unique?
-what role does mirabi play in the bhakti movement?
-why was he a significant figure?
-what were the main themes/topics of mirabi’s poems?
-how would the bhakti mivement have played out with our mirabi’s influence?

et cetera.

oh lol. yeah it would help if i googled them wouldn’t it? so what is your thesis? if it makes you feel any better i had to write an essay on protestant ethic and the spirit of capitalism last night… procrastinated from about 8-11pm, started writing at midnight, got it done by 4 or 5am, but weirdly it turned out to be pretty good.

the Wikipedia page for starters lol

but if you need to cite sources, most professors don’t like you to use wikipedia so use google scholar to look up articles and things you can cite.

I have really pretentious research from websites like jstor and questia but it is all so, like i said, pretentious it is hard to understand. I USED to think that this paper was cool too, until today. now it is most definitely on my bad list.
and i plan to stay up till 4 in the morning, too.

well, any paper that you leave until the night before it is due is going to suck.
sometimes if im having trouble understanding the really academic research, i use wikipedia as a reference to see if they mention anything regarding the topic in laymans terms.
at this point, that might be your best bet.
