work help: i have 4 kids and can not find work. - Help.com

I mean is there some offical from your prison like a probabtion officer or maybe a charity or help centre who can help you back into employment, or maybe like a local factory where skills are not really required, at least its something temporary until you can get your feet back on.

Please more information can really help.

You made it sound as if your kids were with you when you said ” i have 4 kids and can not find work”, kinda gave off a false pretense until you read further and realize your (supposed to be) paying support.

You have had August, September, October, November, December and January (till the 29th) to find work right? That is six months. I find it hard to believe that you cannot get work in that amount of time if you were pounding the pavement everyday ~ I am not going to candy coat this, but working with Parole and Probabtion, I see predatory sex offenders with a MUCH worse criminal record than yours find work within a month of release ~ even if it is to flip burgers or make taco’s. Work with your parole officer to help you get a job–that is what they are there for. I am not trying to sound mean or anything, but I think six months is ample time to allow you free use of a car and place to stay in order to find work, and if I were your mom, I would probably give you the boot too.

Try the unemployment office? Temporary day labor?

It’s my opinion that if you don’t have a job after six months, you are not trying hard enough, sorry for sounding so brash, but maybe you need to hear it spelled out this way…?

One thing I have learned: Never join a work at home program or opportunity that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, they wouldn’t need to charge you.
