Drag all of your mp3’s into your iTunes music library. You can just have iTunes open in the background, open the folder with your mp3s in it, and drag the folder onto the iTunes window. It will automatically know what to do with everything and will sort all of your music.

Next, plug the Shuffle in. It will appear in the left-most panel of iTunes. Drag your music from the iTunes library onto the shuffle icon and you’ll be good to go.

Just read and follow the directions that came with the Shuffle.

there is also a sync option that does the same without having to drag the music, just hit the sync ipod with itunes library and it should put all of the songs on your ipod.

also, you dont haver to drag the music to itunes folder, you can itunes to automatically look into another folder that might have music by using the open folder link (forget what exactly it’s called, but it’s under the first (tab) option on the upper left and is about 3-4 slots down from top… sorry, been awhile since i loaded itunes, and after you set the folders it will always look in them in future…

plug it in to your computer (it should have come with usb cord)
and make sure to always look at ipod screen before you disconnect (it’ll tell you when it’s not safe) then you simply start adding songs to ur itunes (can select other folders besides the default ‘mymusic’ folder it’s set to) and then once you have songs in your itune library, hit ’sync with ipod’ and it should transfer all the songs to your shuffle…

if that doesnt help, lemme know and i can try to go into more detail…

bad? what do you mean poopswort?
other than slowing transfer times, as long as itunes works and your computer sees the ipod then you should be ok…

i have an ipod shuffle and it says that there is not enough epace on my ipod to copy all the requested files. itunes will copy as many files as possible.
what does that mean. i only have like 57 songs on it

you can veiw the data/music ratio on the ipod by seleting it in itunes, there could be regular data files eating up all your space… might need to reformat the ipod, there’s a selection for it in itunes, think it’s ‘restore’ or something like that.
