Rental car too expensive - one-way alternatives
They want $240 for a 1 day compact rental, maybe because it’s on 4th of July, but I have no choice! Airport shuttles won’t take me to a home address, and a limo service is overkill. What’s the in-between? What kind of transportation service should I be looking for to get from the airport to my Mom (who can’t drive)? It’s halfway across the state, FYI - and bus/train-hopping is my absolute last resort. I’m from L.A. so I’m extremely unfamiliar with taxis, I don’t think you can just get in a taxi and ask them to drive over a hundred miles (I’m afraid of what THAT might cost) Anyone know what I should be searching for?
