Hi i don’t believe in psychics or psychic readings!
i thought they made me feel better, and they did they said nice things about me and it made me feel gooooood! hehe… but none of their predictions came true =P
so i love my psychics for using psychology to make me feel better, but you suck at predicting anything =D

Where were you?
You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
To be honest I think if someone could really read the future and actually predict it and had the ability to then that would be the only thing you would see up on the news, I don’t believe in that stuff either.
Maybe you’ve only been to fakes?
The real ones charge quite a bit more, supposedly.
Erin Pavlina has always seemed legit to me, but I’ve never had a reading by any. www.erinpavlina.com

I remember one time I called the psychic hotline. The lady at the other end asked me “what is your name?” So I told her “you’re the psychic, you tell me!” She did not know what to say.
So then she asked me “can you give me your credit card number?” So again, I told her, aren’t you the freaking psychic. You’re supposed to already know that!
She hung up on me!!!
I’m no psychic but I knew she was going to do that!!!
Love it…your so clever!

There’s no such thing!
I’m not sure, but i don’t think it works like that. I reserve judgment until all the evidence is in.

haha, Could be. I haven’t met and tested all of them so i wouldn’t know! :-P
ok so a really good psychic would be someone who wins your trust by telling you general things about yourself by studying your behavior, your voice can tell how you’re feeling in general also… play a few psychological tricks, then tell you about the ‘future’… at this point she’s won your trust and you believe what she says, even if you don’t you really do wish those things do come true lol… so eventually they will and it’s all nothing but self fulfilled prophecies… that’s if you actually don’t know all the above, otherwise they’re prediction won’t come true =(
Actually. . .I DO believe in them - that’s why, in my opinion, they’re so dangerous.
For those few who beieve in the Bible, there is reference to what is called “Familiar Spirits.” The idea that a certain “spirit” tracks family lines down through the ages - personally getting to know them (like your aunt or uncle who is deceased). Then by going to the medium, you aren’t actually contacting the dead but the “Familiar Spirit” who knows the family member so well. They trick you into believing that you have contacted them.
I haven’t said any of this too well - but you should get the general idea.

Maybe psychic millionaires DO exist (Warren Buffett?), and only the people who advertise themselves as psychics are the fakes.
One time I got my electric meter read while I was on vacation and that month my utility bill was as much as every other month.
So now I don’t believe in physics.

i agree, there exists demons… not spirits, they’re ‘demons’ because they do this to trick you, they can even take the shape of your loved one who’s dead… these i don’t think are good spirits… but this still doesn’t mean that psychics are for real, because psychic still don’t have the ability to tell the future… NO ONE does… i learned this by experience lol
OH! Okay, when you say psychic you’re talking about someone with precognition! That’s different from what i consider to be a psychic which is just somebody who has paranormal abilities, like communicating with spirits or guides and things.

oh i’ve heard about spirit guides… this one girl at my school ‘contacted’ her spirit guide… once the guide told her to change her name to something weird… LOLLLL… hahaha i thought it was so funny… but i didn’t laugh cuz i was scared her spirit guide was some wehre close to her and he/she might get mad and make me trip over my skirt in from of my crush or something horrible like that lol

I don’t think there is a difference. . .
Someone who can “contact the dead” or catch “glimpses” of some things to come, both may come by the same “demon” as Pinkblush calls it (and rightly so).
Unless it came by as a gift from God. . .I would not consider it all good. But what is a gift of God but and open ended supposition at this point in the topic.
Psychics are fakes but not all of them just the ones who are real don’t know and don’t chase it so your out of luck with that. never trust a psychic.

Not everybody believes in demons or in God.
Precognition has always seemed to me to be a kind of fuzzy business, because there’s no such thing as a definite future - only a sensing of the state of things at that time and space, and the /likely/ progression forward. People have the freedom to change things, so predictions aren’t always reliable.
Communicating with non-corporeal entities may be dangerous. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t good people out there. Just like the majority of strangers you meet outside probably aren’t murderers. Also, you aren’t going to trust a random stranger on the street to tell you how you should live your life without using your own judgment, so why would you do the same with a random spirit?

I like the scene in “Screem” where the parody zooms in on “The Sixth Sense”
(I see stoned people)

im not sure if it comes naturally as a gift from God..
i’ve heard this story in our family… my mom’s uncle who died knew he was about to die and he told everyone that he’ll have an accident and that the driver should not be blamed because it won’t be his fault… (no it wasn’t suicide lmao)
now how did he have that ability? well, he used the scriptures to become what they called ‘The King of Spirits’… that way he had control over spirits, and if spirits did anyone any harm they’d come to this uncle of my mom’s to find the spirit and free them of the spirit… people would come from far and wide to free themselves of ‘curse’ that someone may have put on them… people who had been affected by black magic and all kinds of other things… but even this King’s ability was limited… (i really wish he was still alive, i’d have sooo many questions for him)
oh and if someone lost a valuable they’d come to him and he’d tell them where they’d left it lol… isnt that cool?! =D
from an atheists point of view; they’ve been testing psychics regularly since the 30’s, particularly in the military (can you imagine the benifits of being able ot psychicly predict military actions etc), but also just within the general populace. even on the most simple tests, the results come in that no-one has any ability that is demonstrably above guessing when it comes to knowing the unknown or predicting events.
as far as proffesional psychics go; they are mostly skilled cold readers and are mostly used by people who want to believe. personally i think they prey on the vulnerable, and tell lies to the wounded for the most part. i honestly think that until someone can prove their abilities, they shouldn’t be allowed to make money off it, they should be prosecuted as what they are- frauds and con artists.
Here in New Zealand theres 3 phsycics they are on New Zealand tv solving the suposedly ‘unsolvable’ murders. They talk to the spirits that got murdered and they tell the phsycics what happened.
