couldn’t tell you I have rarely been in a group of friends. sounds cool though. I would assume that in a group of friends everyone would sort of have a place as to who they are in that friendship. So I wouldn’t think you are less important perhaps the strength you add into the friendship isn’t in use at the moment. Know what I mean? Like you have the funny one the one that listens the ones that has your back. So like if you were in a depressed mood the one that makes a joke about everything is probably not the one you need at that moment. Doesn’t mean you don’t care about that one. No one in the friendship is more important they all are an important part of said friendship. At least that is how I dream friendships work lol as i said never been lucky enough to have a group of my own.

I feel exactly the same. I’ve lived in the same village and grew up with my friends since we were really young, and although we get along most of the time and go out places together, it’s always me that has to make the effort to see them. and they don’t go out of their way to get me to come along. I feel like they do that for eachother though. I don’t know if it’s just paranoia or me being pathetically insecure, but I really do know what you mean. I’m usually just there with them because I put myself there, and although technically I’m “part of their group” I feel like it’s only because of the circumstances (we all live near eachother & went to high school together) not because they actually really want me with them.

wow Bella. same situation with me. Im in my final year of highschool and i have been friends with all my friends for about 6 years, and im always included when we go out or do anything, but i cant help but think its only because of, as you said, the circumstances. I am costantly putting myself out there trying to do things with everyone and always be friendly and inclusive but i just dont feel it reciprocated all the time. for example a couple of my friends will make plans to do something together in a smaller group but i never feel like anyone would want to spend time with just me. ive never really had ONE best friend, its always been a bunch of people who im close with but im finding everyone else seems to have that “best friend” relationship with someone in my group. It could be insecurity but it really gets to me that i dont have one “go to” person i can rely on.
