Heard help: Is Sicilian the same as Italian? - Help.com

Is Sicilian the same as Italian?

I have been confused for years someone clear this up for me. My grandfather is from Sicily and that makes my mom Sicilian; which makes me Sicilian right? but then I also heard that Sicilian and Italian are the same, but if that’s the case why isn’t Sicily called Italy?

sicily is a part of italy, but its an island. so its not quite the same, plus sicilians are better. im sicilian
