Sitting help: I have a kitten, and she’s generally hyper until she crashes and falls asleep. - Help.com

I have a kitten, and she’s generally hyper until she crashes and falls asleep.

Today I was playing with her as usual, and she climb up on the wall by our foyer.

I always get anxious when she climbs up there because it has a wood top and if she falls she wont beable to grip it with her claws.

Today my fear became a reality, I saw her back feet slip off and her two front paws were hanging, I jumped to try to grab her but I was too late, she fell a whole story down onto the hardwood floor :’(

She got up immediately and slowly started walking around, and when I picked her up she started to make this low meow with her mouth closed, I put her down on my bed and she climbed off. I started searching on how to identify broken bones, and I dont think she broke anything.

She’s now laying down on my floor trying to sleep and I’m sitting with her, I dont know whether to take her to the vet or not. I would if I could but moneys tight so I dont think I can take her unless I prove to my mom she’s hurt. Any advise?

She’s sleeping next to me still, she’s really calm. I think I’m going to ask to take her to the vet

if shes purring and walking round as normal and eating fine, then you probably dont have anything to worry about. cats are remarkably good at landing without injury, i believe the highest recorded fall is about 10 meters or so.
she probably gave herself a good scare and thats why shes a bit quiet, but just keep an eye on her for the next couple of days.
if she goes off her food, or you notice any abnormal swelling or bleeding from the mouth or ears, take her straight to the vet. give her a good stroke and feel all her limbs and back etc, if she squeals youll want to get her x-rayed.
