Hello Ashley,
I’ve come accross suicide a lot in my life, a friend commited suicide and I even felt like dying myself once.
I felt that volunteering helped me get over those thoughts and over my friend’s death.
I now volunteer at SAVE Suicide Awareness Voice of Education as a counsellor as well as a conferencee in schools.
I don’t know where you live, in which country but try visiting www.save.org if you want to volunteer in england, or if you want to find more info about volunteering.
You can also visit my post about help websites for suicidal teens, you might fin information on those links.
Good luck and thank you for caring about those people =)

I would love to be able to help with suicide awareness. I had a parent commit suicide and feel like I could help suicide victims and also with the loss of the families concerned. Do you know of any publically active suicide awareness groups which I could contact?

Any response would me greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Kind regards

Ashley Dunning-McManmon
