Check help: The day before somebody had injected a needle while I was on a move. - Help.com

The day before somebody had injected a needle while I was on a move.

How can I check whether it was HIV infected or not? Would I get the correct results so soon? What should I do?
Which test helps me to know the correct results so soon?

If, if the needle had the HIV virus on it, and it infected you. No test will show you have HIV for year or so.
However, you may have other viruses to worry about.
Go and get medical help, NOW.

Test yourself for HIV and get the results in 6 months. HIV is bad, but now they have all sorts of treatments for it. I wish you did not get infected, but if you were, know that HIV patients can live normal lives just like healthy people. It’s just a little more expensive, that’s all.

..hoe I didn’t sound like a jerk here. If I did, I’m sorry

Go see a doctor as soon as possible - they will know what tests to carry out, and you may be able to go on some medication to prevent HIV taking hold - doctors often get stuck by infected needles, but take drugs to stop any infection (including HIV) taking hold. But you must be very quick!
