I’m trying to convince my 15 lb cat to chase a feather on a string because she really needs to lose some weight…

But, I’m failing miserably.

My cat will break the toy in the first five seconds of playing with it then just lay back down and sleep. So lazy.

Once. She ran away (all the way to the other end of the couch!).

She was abused as a kitten and has never been played with before. She’s the clingiest cat in the world and the ultimate creeper. She’s watching me right now, I just don’t know where she is…

sounds tough. Is there anything you do that makes her want to play with you?

Well, she sleeps on my chest. Don’t really know why, she always has. She likes to play, “Find Maggie’s hands and force her to pet me”. But that’s not very active.

If something chases her, she just lays down and mews until I come get her. *Sigh*

Yes, but she follows me around all the time. I’m constantly moving around the house, so she gets enough that way. But all she does is waddle a bit, finds a comfortable spot where she can see me, and then plops down. I kind of want her to move a bit more, jump and play like my other cats used to. They were extremely active and she’s… not. The vet said she needs to be a bit more active, but she is the ultimate lazy beast. She’s better at lazy than my horse.

small steps at a time. just keep moving around. when it looks like she is finding a comfortable spot. move again. either A, she’ll keep moving or B, she’ll stay and get her revenge on you later

Nope… It’s why I’m avoiding upsetting her.

At least my horses didn’t try to kill me this weekend and they didn’t kill any dogs. That’s always good.

She’s not as bad as my old rooster. His name was Lucifer for a reason…

But yeah… She did try to murder the dog in her sleep today. =/
