Depends in what sense, if you are asking if 26 is old when it comes to wearing a nappy, I would say yes, or that it is considered old to still be spoon fed by your mother I would say yes to.
But if you are asking if 26 is considered to old to make a will or find your retirement home I would say hell no, to young for that.

So, in what sense?

I feel like I missed out on doing dumb stuff when I was younger. I’m 26 now.

What do you feel you missed out on?

And no, 26 is not old.

26 is a whole alphabet of years if there’s one letter for each year, or half the number of weeks in a year (52/2) or half the number of cards in a deck (52/2) — it’s a very cool number. I don’t know what it means in terms of oldness/youngness … many people died before that age, sadly enough, and many live much longer.

Everyone misses out on something. What’s old depends on your perspective. I’ll be twice 26 this year, so 30 sounds young to me. Just start living and don’t waste time on regret. The present and what’s ahead are the important things.

agreed Eli, I am 31 and in the United States Marine Corps. We run just about every day along with push-ups, crunches, pull-ups, planks, triple threats and many other things. I am about 12years older than our youngest Marine, he is a beast though. I am not the strongest nor the fastest but for **** sure I am not the slowest or the weakest, I keep up, I put out and when I feel like giving up I just think how some of these guys feel when someone 6years their senior passes them on a run. I would say on average I am 6 years older than the Marines I work with. I do not feel old at all. I recently jacked up my knee, which kinda makes me feel old but it is just an injury. It has nothing to do with my age.

Old is a state of mind not some number.
I have met very young people in life who acted like they were ready to be put out to pasture, and then much older people who were more alive and interesting than most 20 somethings and they are pushing 100!
Never let your number dictate spirits age or for that matter your attitude, we are all collectively in the perfect place at all times, do not let yourself become trapped by such limitations.

That’s great, it sounds like you overcome the age difference by your strength of mind. I do martial arts and try my best to keep up with the 20-somethings and most of the time I can. It does get more difficult as the years roll by though.

I’m 26 too and I don’t think I’m old. I’m married with 2 young children and I feel like I’ve just started a new chapter in my life. I still have plans of going to school, raising my kids, and traveling the world. If I live to be 100, then right now I’m very young.

If I only live to be 100 then I’m on the downhill slide. Fortunately when most of us turn 100 that will be considered an early age to die.

26 was a tough year for me, maybe because by that age you no longer want to be older, and you can see the next decade approaching, whereas previously the next decade was only a vague concept.

If one believes that this flesh and blood is all there is to a person, then even one day old is very old, because the span of a human life is so short. On the other hand, if you believe that we are spirit and that our bodies and even minds are only shadows of us, then even on one’s deathbed they can see themselves as at the beginning. Whether we are spirit or just a hodgepodge of chemicals, the approach that sees life as interminable (apart from any particular dogma or religious guilt) more often makes for better quality of life. Of course there is the rare hedonist who feels fulfilled in old age, but I think they’re the exception.

No 26 is not old. I am 34 now, and I am having the time of my life. Your only as old as you feel, or so they say. One of my best friends is 63 years young and stil parties like he’s in his 20’s.

you two totally missed the posters point. They feel old becuse they missed out on things in life. Its a sort of “Im too old for that now and i lost it”or a “i have too much caitching up to do in my life, im so far behind everyone” kind of feeling.

like its funny cause i am 20 now and i do feel a little old. but sometimes i dont. What hits me sometimes is that when i was in my early teens like 13-14-15 i was like feeling very mature and like a full grown person. But now it i dont feel like that anymore. Actually i feel like a child sometimes. Its so stupid. I know its because i can be a real lazy *** but nevertheless what my point was that the things that i saw as really important things like staying in good shape and stuff and have ideals about myself makes me feel like a fool today. And like what the hell happend? I wen’t from being a person with full of life and ideas and ideals to this stupid lazy *** ****? I guess i cracked when i found out that the world really doesn’t lie by my feet. Like everything is a ****** potential blocker of you’re dreams. But i guess it’s a sign of not lettin’ ourselves stop nomatter what.
Anyway age is just a number and has been invented of practical causes. Otherwise its useless.
