I was diagnosed w/cancer in April, 2004.
The following May, my terminally ill son, Stephen was given only about 90 days to live.
I was trying to take care of him while undergoing chemo. Medical bills were mounting, and neither of us were able to work. My insurance simply did not cover the expenses.
The very next month (June) my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and was given a short time.
My son passed away July 29th, and my mother on August 3rd. The trauma was overwhelming. The funeral and medical bills stacked higher and higher.
I tried for two years to pay for everything with my retirement check. But there simply isn’t enough money to do so. I am still undergoing tests and frequent trips to the oncologist. So new medical bills crop up faster than I can get the old ones paid.
I really hate to ask for help, but I feel I have no choice. I can only promise that if I ever get a chance to help someone else someday, I will certainly do so.
I appreciate your help in this matter.
