Does size matter?

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I ask you;

When uploading a picture to add to a reply in a post or shout box, what is the best size to use that will not disrupt the layout of the page?

When adding pictures in your replies, keep the width under 600px. That should be enough to keep the design intact. I don’t know about the shoutbox, but I’m guessing 450-500px should fit in there.

Well, for internet usability it can be important. If it for example is for graphic purposes on the site the byte size should be as small as possible while still having the proper quality. To reduce the kb size of the image, you can set the dpi down to 72 which is good enough for screen resolution. If it’s printed media the dpi should be 300 and up.

I don’t really think it matters that much though when you upload images here…
