I do think there is a ripple effect in spreading goodness, love, and peace. You can change yourself, which effects everyone you interact with. Even if it is in the tiniest of ways. It will have an effect.

its like the butterfly effect, one good thing to make someone smile and maybe that person will do something to make someone else smile.

like i helped an elderly woman take her suitcase downstairs at the trainstation, hopefully she would she that not all young people are thugs

I witnessed that the other day, a young man helped an elderly woman with her suitcase, i though the world of him, it leaves such a good impression to everyone, uch a simple act of kindness.

I believe in the ripple effect. I also believe it’s important to reach out beyond your own little world and your own comfort zone. Where there is violence, hatred and ignorance there is the greatest need to plant the seeds of peace, love and goodness.

If you don’t go beyond your comfort zone to confront the evils of the world, the evils of the world will eventually crash your door down.

The world is full of cruel and senseless things…

There is too much violence, hate, and indifference, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I am sometimes overwhelmed by it all, but know that though I can’t change the world, I can keep my own little world peaceful, giving, loving, and forgiving. And I do believe that there is a ripple effect in extending small random acts of kindness to others, hopefully helping others to see how important it is to try to live that kind of life too, every day.

Someone here yesterday posted an old favorite quote of mine by Margaret Meade, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, comitted citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”, and I believe every word of that. …I wonder, do you?
