I agree with DarkSnow. You don’t have to trust someone completely, but if you do little by little, they can become someone you want to be friends with for the rest of your life.

What do you mean being a downer? That you cause them to have less fun?

Oh I know that feeling. But maybe you just need to hang out with one or two of them at a time, it could be eelpful. You just have to be willing to talk about how your feeling and hope the will be willing to help

How do you ever expect to not be a downer and be a good influence unless you can hang out with people who can help you feel better and be happier that way?
