I’m trying to learn more about tagging and tags.

What methods are best? Can they be keyword phrases? or should they be single word tags?

1-2 words is best; it’s best not to tag your posts with whole sentences.

Tagging is based on the metatag concept… We add metatags to our website to help the search engines pick up our sites when someone searches those terms.

Most people feel like the spammers’ over use of metatags resulted in their being devalued by google and the rest…. Yet we all use them anyway.

Metatags are generally single words separated by commas…. I will use a two word phrase when a single word isn’t enough…

You really want to save your descriptions for the META Description…

Help dot com uses the tags to group our posts in categories of interest for us to search similar topics.

Have you tried clicking your tags yet?
