Course conflicting with possible job
So I need to take a capstone course next semester, which is basically something that I say defines my entire education in college before graduation. Sounds fun, right? Right! The problem is, the class I want to take requires a week of stuff next august, and I won’t hear back from a future employer until late december whether or not I got a job. If I get the job, I might need to start right after school, which would also kick ***.
But then I won’t take the most interesting course my school has, something about nukes and national security in the 21st century. I have to register today for my classes, and I can’t register for it while committing to a week next august when I don’t know if I have a job yet or even if the job would start before next august. :( I might be stuck with something random like a literature or semi-philosophy course for the single class that defines everything I’ve gone through in college, which isn’t literature or philosophy. Sigh…
There’s really nothing I can do, I emailed my possible future employers but might not hear back till December, and the professor of the course said they really just want people who can commit to the August thing. I guess I just needed to tell someone about all this, none of my friends are awake yet, so…blah
