As some of you may know I have been working to get the old phpFreeChat system working again for help.com users as hosted on a hidden section of my website here:

As some of you may know I have been working to get the old phpFreeChat system working again for help.com users as hosted on a hidden section of my website here:

This should hopefully fiiinally sort out the timing problem. It’s probably easiest if you shout me rather than email as that means everyone else can see the times too, or you could just leave it in the chat. When a time has been organised, I’ll change the above page to make it applicable to everyone. The countdown timer is in GMT+0 (English time) I’ll put the date and time in a a few timezones (perhaps shout your timezone along with your desired time as well to ease confusion.)

-Changed maximum nickname length from 15 (default) to 20

Version 2.1 PROXIES
-Actually managed to get the parameter working for proxies which means that
-Word censoring is disabled
-Floodbot is disabled

-Complete overhaul of the website design, made a new help.com style theme at the request of a lighter style from MySmellf.
-Changed maximum nickname length from 20 to 30
-Added description

-Added new emoticons being small images from help e.g shout megaphone, online and offline lights etc.
-Tweaked some of the coding a bit

-Set up banned names to keep unwanted people out.
-Set up mod status for certain people. They shall be contacted shortly to finalise this.

-Changed the sound to be considerably less annoying

-Broke it whilst trying to fix timeout glitch

Due to a new policy all help.com moderators are automatically allowed a mod spot. If you are a mod here and wish to help out, or if you want to be a mod and have valid reasons (I will NOT mod on request,) shout me and I’ll see what I can do.

As you may have noticed there has been an increase in the amount of emoticons recently. This is because Tobi has been kind enough to make them. If you would also like to make them, the dimensions of the image must be 16X16. They can be made in any image software, even MS paint if you so wish. Then shout me with a link to the images and I’ll add them if I like them.
I may hold a competition at some point idk.

Please note that there are still some bugs, but I will continue to work on these. People still prefer to use tinychat at the moment because of a few potential lag issues and simply people prefer having webcams etc. I would like to take this opportunity to point out that this chat is considerably more secure (moderation wise) and more stable than tinychat, but you may continue to use this if you wish.
