When did Help.com turn into Google?
Recently I have noticed that Help.com has become a website that people will ask questions about their computer or how to get to the next level in a game. In my opinion Help is a place where people go if they have serios problems and are looking for HELP! And a place where people can go to express thier opinion. All I see now is people asking a question that they could have asked on Google or Bing.
And You think…

You can also watch events on Help.com as they happen
I agree, i’m getting kinda tired of seeing how do i catch this pokemon? or why doesn’t my gamecube work?,
People are getting lazy, too lazy to use google and do the research themselves, i reckon that’s all it is
I think nothing its still help regardless if u can google it or not
I think people are lazy and will rather have somebody tell them what to do than to do any research for themselves.

sure did start that way
Actually, this site used to be a tech site before it became all about peoples problems and issues.
It is though still a help site no matter the issue.

The first time I saw an ad on tv about help.com, it showed like 10 different people asking questions about 10 different things and one of them mentioned how to win at Dungeons and Dragons. I’m not sure if those ads are still around.
i didn’t know it was on tv!!! i feel so pathetic right now
I think help goes through the motions, sort of like seasons.
This time of year it is mainly people asking for money, tech needs because of xmas gifts, and then break up help.
After that comes the homework help and then the scammers.
It sort of goes in a rota.

^^What she said.
Just because you don’t like the question being asked or the help they are asking for, doesn’t mean that it isn’t help. This is a help site and we offer help of all sorts. If you don’t like a particular post then don’t read it.

There is one thing I freely admit I don’t like: when people ask about video games. WHY?

Because they need help with it and this is a help site, so why not ask here?

true. It’s just a matter of personal preference. Luckily, nobody’s forcing me to answer or even READ them! I’m free.
