if you are in a class of 28 and 23 like basketball and 15 like baseball, thats already more than 28, and then there is another 12 who like both?

thats like 50….. Unless i read this wrong, you may need to re-word your question :D

well its not a different amount. 23 of them do basketball. 15 watch baseball-twelve of those fifteen also fall under basketball. so its really only three that like baseball only.23+3=26, 28-26=2. the answer is two, i hope that makes sense :)

Well, you have the following information:

28 in the class (s)
23 like to watch basketball (x)
15 like to watch baseball (y)
12 like to watch both (x intersect y)

What you need to find is (x or y) and subtract that from s.

(x or y) = x + y - (x intersect y)
= 23 + 15 - 12
= 26

28 - 26 = 2

So, there are 2 that don’t like to watch either. Hope that made sense.

zero, cause you can’t tell which of the 23,15 or 12 are which students
You need names to say who liked what
Right??
