On my other computer, I turn it on and I get a small pop up that says, “Monitor in sleep mode.

Activate using P.C.” However the keyboard nor mouse come on either. Any ideas?

I’ve tried to. Still got the same message. :(
I could fix the settings if I could use the keyboard to get into safe mode…but it’s a no go. :(

Checked all the connections? Try the monitor you’re using now on that PC? Monitor might be screwed

I hooked it up to another monitor and got the same message…so I know it is in the settings, on the computer. Just have no clue as to how and get into them without being able to use the keyboard.
Did you think I may need to get a startup disc?

I had a similar problem. After reading alot of replies that indicated various hardware/software fixes, I wanted to boot the pc into “safe mode” (press F5 at start-up). One of the other menu items was “Enable VGA mode”. I selected this item and the pc booted with monitor functioning. I had to reset my display properties, but this action saved me many hours of swapping hardware. It’s just something to try before tearing into your pc.
