I’m 23, and i met this girl the other day and we were hitting it off.

You know a few days go by we learn more about each other and everything was good. I told her I didn’t have a job and that was fine…I told her I lived with my parents and that was fine…I told her I didn’t have a license and things just went south. It sucks because she was totally into me and now I won’t have a chance to get to know her better…maybe have a future together.
Didn’t realize how bad I need a job, and license just to live my life to the fullest.

Yup. I’ve been working off/on since age 17. Like me, most of my friends didn’t get their licenses until they were near mid 20’s, mostly because they just drove illegally. Not reccomended. I know what it’s like to be in your situation, though. I was a little late on things myself. Not having a car or a job sucks. Thankfully I have both of those things now. There’s really nothing quite like being able to hop in your car and go wherever the hell you want. Money is great, too. I’m not saying it’s everything, but it certainly allows you to have a lot more fun at times. When it comes to relationships, it’s an absolute must. Even if a girl says she doesn’t care if you have money or not, you need to find a stable job and a steady income to go anywhere in life. Try looking in the classifieds in the newspaper. There’s something out there for you, and you’ll be on your way.

sorry, i’m a city girl and you have to drive to get anywhere. the idea of not having a license is completely bizarre to me.
