life help: What is a tear to you? - Help.com

What is a tear to you?

The pain of not knowing,
The pain of being hurt.
Life is heavy weighing,
And I am so weak.
In all this despair
A single tear escapes my eye.
And I think, what is that?
What is that tear to you?
Does it have meaning?
Is it the combined pain
pooling and leaking out?
Sometimes life gets to me.
And I just have to wonder
What is a tear to you?

I agree. Very lovely. To me crying has always seemed a sign of weakness in me but I don’t really know anymore.

I couldn’t ever cry much. When I was young it was because of physical or emotional pain. By the time I was 12 it was just physical pain. Now I never cry. I cried when my mom died 10 years ago. That was the last time.

That’s lovely.

I think tears are exactly as you say, a method of relieving all the combined pain/stress within one’s body. I don’t think they show weakness as has become the stereotyped perception especially when men cry; they’re simply one of the body’s ways of dealing with pressure/stress/pain.

Very nice:)
It depends on what the tears are from.
I don’t like them..they age me.

Tears to me are when emotion builds to the point of leaking, whether it’s sadness or joy, sometimes it overflows..

never a drop
not a single tear
on the inside
i cry a river

tearing me up
