Fun things to do on your own?

So lately I’ve taken to kind of hanging out on my own and enjoying my own company. I really don’t mind being alone–in fact I like the solitude most of the time. It’s nice to come home from class, club sports or work and just have no one to deal with. Had a bad couple of years where basically everyone I trusted turned on me or left me, so I’ve become more self-reliant. I’m just wondering if you all can suggest some fun activities to do alone (please don’t make this dirty). I mean, like is it weird to go to a movie alone? Is it weird to go to a restaurant alone?

I feel like I kind of get home to my apartment and then just stay in, while the rest of the world passes by and has fun.

Yeah, like I go get manicures and haircuts/colors and stuff, but for some reason I feel like I’d look like a complete weirdo if I just went to a sit-down restaurant or a movie alone. Wouldn’t people think I have zero friends and am a weirdo?

Yeah, guess so. Any other suggestions? Also, I always kind of wanted to go on a random vacation alone. Do you think that would be weird?

Thanks. Yeah it’s weird. I’m surrounded by people all day at class/sport/work and when I get home I just really like the solitude. And I like hanging out on my own–I think I’m pretty good company to myself, haha. It’s calming and relaxing bc I don’t have to worry about anyone else.

yah cooking is fun too. I like to get creative. I just bought a cookbook and plan on working my way through it, hopefully.
