This is for a friend who needs to know what to do if they’ve been a victim of identity theft.

Please tell us all of your suggestion.

So far, we have:
File fraud charges with the police. You tell them that somebody stole your identity.
They open a case. They investigate. They will ask the bank EXACTLY when the money was taken and from which location it was drawn.

All that you have to do is prove where you were at those times
I’d start making very detailed lists of everything that you’ve done, or been for two days prior to the money going missing.
Have it ready to hand to the police when you see them. Include dates and times, along with who was with you to verify that you were in fact at those locations.

Can you think of anything else? Any helpful suggestions?
