People asking for money…
One thing I dont understand about people who ask for money on this site is, why do they always post anonymously? If you really needed cash wouldn’t you want to post as a reputable contributor of this site? Seems like that would up your chances of getting something.

Well, unless you have your real picture and name it’s pretty much anon anyway.. lolz. Also, they probably might want to use the site for real but know that asking for money would look bad. I know I go anon when a post is less than… good looking in my history, lolz. For example I had problems with my cat not cleaning himself… so I posted anon because that’s a wonderful thing to have stuck to your name, lol!
I always think the same thing lol if they wanted money why not let someone get to know you, there not going to hand money over to someone who is anon randomly
i just dont get why they always say the same thing …. plus the fact that they got them selfs into such a state is their own mess and well there for tecnically shouldnt get any help since theshould have been more care full first time round
Maybe they’re asking for words.
One exception is the obvious scam and hoaxes with contact details, but they’re like form letters and are presumably mass-posted in as many places as possible.

And you won’t find any in my history ;)
Many of the people who come in here asking for money have probably never even been to this site before. Many are individuals who’ve reached rock bottom. They’re sitting at their computers, their world crashing down around them … and out of sheer desperation, they type the word, “help” into a search engine. And much to their surprise, they end up in here. Since begging for financial aid online isn’t something they’ve ever done before - or ever thought they would need to do - they don’t enter this site equipped with an avatar and a screen name. They just see that the sign on the door reads, “Help.com” … and they start typing.
We see plenty of anonymous suicide posts, depression posts, love-lorn posts, will he/she ever return to me posts, what-should-I-name-my-pet posts, health related posts, humorous posts, etc. Why should people in financial difficulties be expected to hold up to standards that aren’t expected of other needs?

That sounds realistic.
well speaking of these posts one has just been posted now, something to do with an enlarged heart and watery lungs - seems to be full of holes if you ask me

It may or may not be a hoax. But even if it is a real life situation, by your way of thinking, the kid doesn’t really deserve any help because he got himself into the mess on his own - he should have been born healthier, I guess.

i dunno all i thought was it seemd to repeat its self alot and to be rather well timed after this post and seemd to cover all the issues we mentioned on here
There are a few help sites where the people do give money, pay a bill and/or send needed items to those who ask. On at least one, the site filters the requests and there must be proof that the request is legitimate before it can be posted. Some people might think this site operates the same way.
