I love all these holidays and will keep remembering them all, till the end.

I grew up not celebrating any holidays and I was fine with it. Those days were like any other day to me.
I do enjoy them now though, mostly for the good food and family and a day off and the free stuff.

* If you are used to dining out, order in on Valentine’s Day to avoid the hordes of couples canoodling over dinner and champagne at area restaurants.

* Relish in the fact that you’ll be saving a lot of money. Prices on flowers, chocolates, gifts, dinners, etc. are generally marked up to capitalize on Valentine’s Day.

* If you have several single friends, consider hosting a Valentine’s Day party. Do themed drinks and snacks and enjoy the night together. If the idea sounds like too much work, get together and go to a fun restaurant that probably would be too loud and boisterous for intimate dining.

* Spend the day giving and sharing your talents with other people, perhaps by volunteering or spending time with seniors at a care facility.

I’m also alone, but once I get my Love, my everyday will be a valentine’s day ;)

My Valentine is in the form of a bottle. Or a 6-Pack. Sometimes she makes me sick, but she never lets me down.

I’m actually really annoyed at people who get all depressed because they don’t have a valentine. what’s the big deal? if people love each other they should prove it during the year, not on a certain day. I don’t have a valentine even though people asked me. I don’t WANT a valentine. the day is ridiculous & pathetic. to me it’s just a day for guys to finally do it with their innocent girlfriends.

This holiday dates back to the ancient Romans. I guess February 14th is just a day to really go above and beyond to celebrate a true connection. It’s kind of like a birthday party for love. If you’re happily single, of course it doesn’t bother you. I ignored Valentine’s Day for years. It’s just a bit difficult when you’ve experienced it with someone before. For once, you’re excited about it. It’s a great feeling. But when it comes around and you don’t have anyone to run to, that’s when you begin to see happy couples everywhere. To put it dramatically, it’s like the anniversary of a loved one’s death. There’s an empty bitterness of being reminded of things that once were that are no longer. Try to understand?….

I’m gonna skip it this year and go straight to Easter. If anyone wants to join me, start thinking in pastel colors and hiding colorful eggs in the fresh green grass of this glorious spring day. :)
